Vision
The Languages Department at Kolbe Catholic College is committed to provide our students with skills, knowledge and competency that are indispensable in the 21st century. The acquisition of a higher level of proficiency in the target language is the prime aim for every student, at the same time, it is equally our commitment to nourish learning skills that are necessary for their life-long learning journey. Ultimately the Department is part of the College’s fundamental mission to educate the ‘whole person’.
The Languages Department is proud to be one of the front runners in Kolbe’s ICT initiatives and challenges. Our full integration with ICT in learning languages enables our students to instantly connect with any people and culture on the earth, engage in relevant, meaningful learning resources at their own pace of learning. Furthermore, our innovative pedagogy assures our students of dynamic learning experiences that enhances each student’s academic performance.
The Languages Department is dedicated to explore and implement contemporary philosophies and methodologies, and advanced technologies into everyday language classes to prepare our students for becoming ‘Global Citizens‘ in the ever so borderless world.
Exchange
The Language Department values the College’s unique relationships with the communities in Italy and Japan. Our regular study trips and hosting students and teachers are part of the curriculum in which learning content is directly connected with our exchange programs.
