Caroline Chisholm
Born in Northampton in May 1808, Caroline Chisholm worked tirelessly throughout her lifetime in both England and Australia establishing Female Schools of Industry, Female Immigrants’ Homes and a Girls’ School in NSW.
In 1877, Caroline Chisholm died at home in England, poor and almost forgotten, but Australian history recognises her as one of our greatest women.
