A
Welcome from the Principal, Mrs Caroline Payne
At Kolbe Catholic College, we believe that all young people come to us with God given gifts and talents, and that our role as educators is to provide a rich array of learning activities. We assist parents, as the most important educators of their children, to recognise and enhance these gifts so that each child’s full potential can be realised at graduation and beyond.
The College is known for its high quality pastoral
care which permeates all aspects of school life.
Its importance is based on the belief that we
are all made in God's likeness and, therefore,
each one of us is valued and deeply respected.
The College community of 820 students belongs
to one of six Houses, each run by a House Coordinator
who keeps a close eye on the academic progress
and general welfare of each of their students.
A program for new students ensures that they feel
welcome, make new friends and feel comfortable
with College structures and programs.
Kolbe Catholic College offers the full array of
academic and vocational subjects that parents
have come to expect. We are proud to promote and
acknowledge students for their dedication and
commitment to their studies, whilst academically
gifted students are exposed to a variety of learning
experiences that are designed to expose them to
new challenges. We also offer individualised and
small group programs for students who require
additional support in literacy and numeracy.
Learning does not stop at 3.15pm at the College. Students may participate in any number of extra-curricular activities including community service programs, sporting teams, music, drama and dance performances. These types of activities form an essential part of the whole education of a young person and make coming to school a pleasurable and rewarding experience.
Although in the unique position of being part
of an educational precinct that includes Murdoch
University and Rockingham Challenger TAFE, along
with our location on 8 hectares of beautifully
landscaped grounds, we consider that the broad
education that embraces spiritual, religious,
intellectual, physical, social and emotional development
to be more important. Students are encouraged
to follow Gospel values and aspire to our College
motto – Courage, Faith, Excellence –
in all facets of their lives.
On behalf of the Kolbe Catholic College community, I welcome you to our Home page and encourage you to browse through the website, particularly the Newsletters which offer up-to-date information regarding the College. |
