On Wednesday 1 March, Chisholm got to dress up in their favourite colour (red 😉) to celebrate our House. The day started with Mass in the Chapel, followed by the all time favourite bacon and egg sangas and a range of fun activities.
Caroline Chisholm, our House patron, gave up her wealth and life to assist those less fortunate. Over 40 Chisholm staff and students followed her lead and gave up their time after school to help out at the local women refuge, Liliah Haven. Liliah Haven is our House charity and is a safe space for women who are struggling with mental illness or need extra help getting back on their feet.
We spent an hour raking mulch, cleaning up the gardens and preparing the veggie patches. We were also lucky enough to have a quick tour of the beautiful facilities. We all left Liliah Haven with a sense of accomplishment and were grateful for the opportunity to give back to the community.
