Farewell, Year 12s!

Kolbe College

The Parents & Caregivers Celebration was an incredible way to start the final week for our Year 12s!

The special event was all about celebrating the parents, caregivers and staff who have walked together with our Year 12s. The room was bursting with big energy, loud laughter, and an abundance of appreciation. From the buzz in the room to the delicious food, it was a night that truly captured the spirit of our Kolbe community. Thank you to our P&F Association for organising such a wonderful event, and to the volunteers who gave their time and energy on the night.

Parents described the evening as a rare opportunity to pause and enjoy the community they’ve built together. One parent reflected, “It was so lovely to have a night celebrating us!” Another added, “Good company, good conversations, and a rare chance for us to just relax and enjoy ourselves.”

After honouring the biggest cheerleaders and supporters of our Year 12s, the spotlight turned to celebrating the students themselves.

We said a big “see you later” to our amazing Year 12 cohort as they wrapped up their final formal day of schooling at the College. The day was filled with moments to treasure: a whole-school assembly, their last Mass in our beautiful chapel, the reveal of those Year 7 time-capsule letters. A sunny BBQ lunch followed, with plenty of laughter and a whole lot of jacket-signing and keepsake swapping, each scrawling a reminder of six great years here at Kolbe!

A huge thanks to Head of Year Ms Emma Grassie for guiding this incredible cohort all the way to the finish line.

We are excited to share in this special milestone alongside our Year 12 students and their families at the Graduation Ceremony next term!
