Over 25 students across a range of year groups put their hands up to either chop or shave their hair, with some girls doing BOTH.
Most of us know at least one person who is fighting or has fought a battle with cancer. It is something that is certainly touching our community right now.
In an effort to build on last year’s Chop for Cancer and World’s Greatest Shave campaigns, this year we watched students lose over 1.5kg of hair. Girls cut a minimum of 20cm from their long locks, with one student, Imogen Ford – chopping twice, donating over 40cm of hair.
In addition over 30 Year 12 boys are lining up next week to shave their heads in support of their good friend, who was recently diagnosed with stage 2 Hodgkins lymphoma.
