Youth Worship Summit

Matthew Woodford (College Chaplain)

Eleven passionate students from our Kolbe Music Ministry recently attended the Youth Worship Summit, hosted by The King’s College. This exciting event brought together young worship leaders for a day of music, learning, and spiritual growth.

The summit was designed to equip and inspire students to lead others in worship through music. Throughout the day, our students took part in interactive workshops, live worship sessions, and meaningful discussions with experienced mentors. They explored what it means to lead worship, gained practical skills, and connected with like-minded students from other schools.

The experience was more than just musical—it was a time of encouragement, reflection, and personal growth. Students returned inspired and ready to serve with greater confidence in both our College and church communities.

Highlights of the day included uplifting worship sessions, collaborative jam opportunities, and hands-on training tailored to young musicians.

“The staff and students were so welcoming and they made the day so fun with food, worship, and lots of different fun workshops. The day was great and I loved how everyone just came together to celebrate God”- Stella (Year 8)

“It was really exciting and lots of fun. I loved hearing the other schools sing their songs, and I really loved that we got to sing on stage to all the schools. We learnt a lot about music and singing and how we can use music to pray”- Kylie (Year 8)

“My favourite part of the youth worship summit was how we all came together to worship and have fun at the workshops, the Q&A session, and it was a great opportunity to see friends and come together to learn about God”- Paige (Year 8)

We’re so proud of our students for embracing this opportunity with open hearts. Events like this help nurture their gifts and strengthen their faith, making a positive impact that will ripple through our entire community.
