IMG_5320As Kolbe Catholic College prepares for the upcoming athletics season and carnivals, Josh and Jeremy from GPS Marking are laying the track markings using exciting new technology.

The track has been laid using a new GPS guided painting machine, which dramatically reduces the time it takes to mark the ground and provides pin-point accuracy.

Year 7 and 8 students are currently completing athletic units as part of their Movement and Physical Activity curriculum in the lead-up to the KCC Athletics carnivals in Week 2 next term.

The College’s cross country middle distance runners will be able to take advantage of having the track marked out earlier than usual.

Thanks to Groundsman Mr Ian Russell, who has prepared the track for the new ground markings.
