On Sunday 1 March, 45 Year 10 and 11 Kolbe students proudly took part in Clean Up Australia Day, demonstrating their commitment to service through the KolbeCare Program.
Students travelled to various locations throughout the city of Rockingham, ready to make a positive difference in their local community. Working in enthusiastic teams, they spread out across streets, parks, and bushland areas, carefully combing through verges and garden beds to collect discarded rubbish. Equipped with gloves, bags, and plenty of energy, students tackled everything from plastic bottles and food wrappers to hidden litter caught in shrubs and long grass.
The purpose of the day was simple yet powerful: to serve our community by caring for our shared environment. Through their efforts, students not only helped to beautify local spaces but also protected wildlife and waterways from harmful waste. The experience was a practical reminder that small, collective actions can have a significant impact.
It was inspiring to witness our students working collaboratively, taking initiative, and embracing the opportunity to give back. Their willingness to spend a Sunday morning in service reflects the spirit of KolbeCare and our College mission to form young people who act with compassion and responsibility.
