As College Captain, I am honoured to serve our Kolbe community with pride and dedication. Our school, inspired by the values of Saint Maximillian Kolbe, is more than just a place; it’s a vibrant community of belonging and inclusion. From our adventurous Bush Rangers to our spirited sports carnivals, we celebrate diversity and unity at every opportunity, fostering a sense of togetherness and shared purpose. In the footsteps of our patron saint, we will grow, learn and support each other on a journey of faith and knowledge, to make a positive difference in 2024.

Throughout my time at Kolbe, I have witnessed the connection between staff and students which creates a profound sense of community. The relationships that are built create an environment that allows everyone to feel safe and included. Kolbe's diverse opportunities drive each student to explore their identity and contribute meaningfully to the wider community. The inclusive atmosphere and shared experiences at Kolbe have not only enriched my academic journey but also instilled a lasting sense of connection and support within this welcoming community.

The best part of Kolbe is that everyone comes from different backgrounds and yet is still able to come together and create a welcoming community that encourages everyone to be themselves. This is evident in Carnivals where people who don’t even know each other are arm in arm, cheering for their house, or strangers becoming close and opening up to each other on retreats. As a leadership group, we will create positive change that lasts for years to come by coming up with improvements and acting on them. As an Executive, we look forward to 2024."

Robert Greenleaf once said “The first & most important choice a leader makes is the choice to serve”. With my role as Vice College Captain, I hope to display the acts of servant leadership that are truly present within our Kolbe Community. It is extremely important for every member of our community to lead with their hearts as a servant, whether or not they are an elected leader. As a member of the 2024 Student Executive, I will continue to be a servant leader while upholding the values of Kolbe Catholic College, being Courage, Faith and Excellence.
