On Thursday, 4th September, the College was alive with joy—and the aroma of sizzling bacon and eggs—as over 250 Year 9 students and their dads gathered for our annual Father’s Day Breakfast.
The morning was a true student-led celebration, proudly organised by our Year 9 cohort. Planning began last term, with students curating playlists, designing invitations, and handcrafting decorations. A special mention goes to Luis for his creative flair, which added an extra spark to the atmosphere.
“It was a great way to spend time with my Dad,” reflected Maddi, capturing the heart of the morning.
The feast itself was thanks to our dedicated Hospitality students, who served up perfectly cooked bacon and eggs with warm smiles. As Kayla put it simply: “The food was delicious.”
Adding to the occasion, local businesses generously donated prizes for the raffle. A big thank you to Bayside Barista, The Knock Restaurant, Rocco Italiano, Latitude 32, LuLu’s Cafe, Chandlers Kitchen, Jaffelato, Sweet Memories Candy Emporium, and Reagan’s Electrical for their support.
One of the most touching moments of the morning came with a musical performance of Beautiful Boy by Isla and Eleanor, which left the room reflective and moved. “It was a moment to truly take everything that our Dads do for us,” said Maria.
From the food to the music to the laughter shared between fathers and their children, the breakfast was a beautiful reminder of the importance of pausing to celebrate the people who support and guide us every day.
