Performing Arts Team

On 30 and 31 July 2024, our talented Performing Arts students showcased an extraordinary production at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre, leaving the audience in awe. With a cast, band and crew of over 120 students, the musical was not just a display of individual talent but a testament to the power of collaboration and dedication.

The performance was enhanced by the presence of our live band, which brought an authentic, dynamic energy to the show. The professional theatre setting provided a unique experience for both the performers and the audience, creating an unforgettable atmosphere.

“High School Musical” tells the story of a diverse group of high school students who navigate the challenges of adolescence, friendship, and pursuing their passions. This was reflected in the experience of the cast where a large group of individuals came together, accepted each other and defied the stereotypes to disrupt the social status quo.

Teamwork and collaboration were at the heart of this production. During the five months of rehearsals the students learned to rely on each other, building a sense of community and inclusivity and the diverse cast and crew worked together seamlessly. Each member contributed their unique strengths to create a cohesive and captivating performance, following the motto of the show ‘We’re all in this together’.

The feedback from the audience has been overwhelmingly positive. Many attendees praised the professionalism and enthusiasm of the students, noting the exceptional quality of the performance. Many commented on the sheer number of students involved and how they all had their distinct and important part to play.

In conclusion, our ‘high school musical’ was not just an entertaining event but a profound educational experience. It created lasting memories and imparted valuable life lessons, proving that the arts are a vital part of our student’s development.  The students soared above all expectations proving that ‘there’s not a star in heaven that we can’t reach’.
