The 2023 KCC Swimming Carnivals were held at the Rockingham Aquatic Centre in Week 3. Congratulations to all participants for their contributions in making both days a big success!
This quintessential Kolbe tradition was back in full format this year, with all students able to participate across the two days. Year 7 and 8 students embraced their first ‘full’ Kolbe Swimming Carnival and our Yr 12 students led the way in fine fashion.
Not only was the quality of swimming excellent, as we’ve come to expect over the years, with numerous records broken, but the spirit and atmosphere was fantastic. It truly was a community celebration, with great support shown from parents and families, and many student helpers, ex-students and staff volunteering to assist.
Many thanks to the PE crew, our Music and Sports captains, and to all staff for their important roles, especially MC (Mr Gryl), and House Coordinators. The success of the Carnival is very much due to your generosity and effort, thank you.
Stay tuned for our interschool team selection. We are looking to back up a strong effort in 2022, with the ACC returning to divisional carnivals this year. We have built a reputation as one of the best swimming schools in the Association, so all squad members are asked to get down to training in preparation for our B division Carnival on 23rd March (Wk 8).
Final House points tally, year level medallion recipients and new records are outlined below.
