Kolbe’s Toy Drive

Leon Dwyer (KolbeCare Captain 2025)

Last Friday, I had the wonderful opportunity to accompany Tannika, our 2024 KolbeCare Captain, on a special trip to Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH). In her role as KolbeCare Captain, Tannika spearheaded a toy drive within our Year 12 cohort, encouraging both students and staff to donate toys for the children at PCH.

During our visit, we were warmly welcomed by Andy, PCH’s Volunteer Services Coordinator, who provided us with a tour of the hospital and shared the significant impact these toy donations will have, especially during this time of year. The toys collected by our Kolbe community will bring joy to the courageous children at PCH, offering smiles during Christmas, birthdays, and other special moments throughout the year.

It was a privilege to meet Andy and personally deliver the toys to the hospital. Kolbe Catholic College is incredibly proud of students like Tannika, whose selfless actions help foster positive connections within the wider community.

Perth Children’s Hospital is always in need of toys and essential items for babies and toddlers. If you would like to contribute, donations can be made directly to PCH.
