Our newly elected 2024 student leaders recently had the privilege of attending a leadership camp at the beautiful CYC Camp Cooloongup. The two days away from school provided our leaders with an opportunity to meet and get to know the teams that they will be working with next year, as well as plan exciting initiatives and activities for the Kolbe community. This was also the first major event for our 2024 Year 12 Leadership Team, as they worked together in the weeks prior, to organise and run the entire camp!
Our leaders got to spend valuable time together learning about each other and their strengths, as well as having a whole lot of fun. They were also treated to wonderful homestyle meals from the CYC staff and made the most of the spacious outdoor grounds.
Highlights of the camp were the group fashion show (with an unofficial wedding theme making an appearance) as well as the slip and slide and water balloon fight organised by the Teresa House Captains. House groups also got to work coming up with ideas for next year as well as discussing the leadership skills that they will need to bring them to light. From all accounts by our leaders, the camp was a roaring success, and we are very excited to see what these young people will bring to our community in the coming year.
