The Performing Arts Department at Kolbe has been buzzing with excitement and talent in the past few weeks. The highlight of Week 6 was the inaugural performance of “Kol-chella,” our Term 2 Music night. The stage was transformed into a sonic wonderland, featuring original songs, breathtaking solo performances, sensational contemporary bands, and spine-tingling horn sections. Students from Years 7 to 10, including Music Scholarship groups, General Music Classes, and student-led bands, showcased their skills and passion.
From the very first note to the final high kick, “Kol-chella” unleashed an extraordinary wave of musicality that left the audience in awe. The performers poured their hearts and souls into their acts, creating a magical atmosphere that was nothing short of magical.
In Week 7, Kolbe’s Drama Night took centre stage. Students from Years 7 to 12 immersed us in the lives of their characters, sharing tales of joy, triumph, struggle, and self-discovery. It was an evening that celebrated the culmination of their creativity, talent, and hard work throughout the semester. The audience’s laughter was a joy to hear, and the students’ smiles on and off the stage were a delight to see.
