Student Leaders Mass

Steven Gardner – Deputy Principal

Student leadership is an important part of life at Kolbe. It provides students with a voice and empowers them to make a positive contribution to our community, supporting staff in sharing the story of St Maximilian Kolbe and inspiring a vision of his selfless love. Through their example, our Student Leaders have encouraged the Kolbe community to embrace the many opportunities at the College and to live out our values of Courage, Faith and Excellence.

In gratitude for the service of our 2026 Student Leaders and to give thanks for their commitment to College life, we held a Thanksgiving Mass at the College on the evening of Monday 7 September. Celebrated by Fr Victor, the Mass provided an opportunity to recognise the contribution our senior students have made through the promotion of their leadership theme, “A Million Ways to Max It.” Through their example and commitment, our leaders have encouraged all students to make the most of the opportunities available to them and strive to be the best versions of themselves

Our Year 12 House Captains are ably supported by the Year 7-11 Student Councillors, who work together to promote the charism of their House Patrons. It was fitting that our senior leaders recognised the service of their fellow students and acknowledged the important contribution our Student Councillors have made to the wider College community.

The achievements of this wonderful group of young people remind us that our students have a genuine desire to make a difference and help shape a better world. Gathering with parents, staff and students was a wonderful reminder that leadership is ultimately about service, responsibility and having the courage to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
