At our last whole school assembly, we celebrated the remarkable achievements of our students. This term has been filled with inspiring stories of athletic triumphs, charitable efforts, and acts of kindness and bravery. These accomplishments highlight ‘the Kolbe Way.’
At Kolbe, we believe in the power of community service and the importance of giving back. The assembly recognised the many students who were brave enough to either chop or shave their hair to raise money for research into blood cancer and leukaemia. In addition to this, six amazing students were acknowledged for their outstanding efforts within their Houses. Beyond organised charitable efforts, our students have shown incredible acts of kindness and bravery. Year 9 student Misha and Year 12 student Kane were recognised for a remarkable display of bravery. Misha’s quick thinking and courage helped a staff member in a traffic emergency, while Kane’s resilience has seen him defy the odds to play footy for Kolbe and his local football team.
Furthermore, our athletic teams have enjoyed numerous victories. The 8/9 Boys AFL, the SSWA Girls Volleyball Team, and the 8/9 Boys Basketball Team had very successful seasons, while Kolbe’s U15 Girls won their category at the ACC Cross Country Carnival.
The successes of this term at Kolbe reflect the dedication, compassion, and resilience of our students. From athletic triumphs to heartfelt charitable efforts and acts of bravery, our students demonstrate their commitment to ‘Standing Up, Stepping Forward, and Walking Together.’
