Rice House gathered for its annual Inter-PC Tug-of-War competition. Excited students met on the Year 7 Basketball court to fight it out in a round-robin format to start the day.
Kilkenny and Eddie PCs were strong throughout, with Elliot, Westcourt and Ambrose also winning three rounds each. Elliot won a repechage round, securing a spot in the playoff for third.
In the third-place playoff, Elliot PC was too strong for Sion PC, winning third place and 110 points for the McNulty Cup. Dom was the standout for Elliot PC.
In the final, the closest ever, Kilkenny PC won 2-0 against a gallant Eddie PC. Kilkenny PC’s Rebecca, winning captain, accepted the ‘Chopper’ and said it was great to see their PC come together and battle hard. Year 12 strongman James took on his counterpart Tommy, but James was best on ground and will be sorely missed by Kilkenny next year.
Well done Kilkenny on back-to-back wins.
And in other news, Rice House has decided that its new mascot will be a green dinosaur named Rex, soon to make its debut at the Athletics Carnival in Term 3.
