As we move through Term 3, with Senior School students selecting their 2025 pathways and our Year 12s preparing for the final stages of their journeys, I have been reflecting on how Kolbe Catholic College prepares students for future success. Kolbe has established itself as a leader in providing personalised educational pathways that cater to the diverse needs of our students. The Kolbe Pathways program is a testament to this commitment, offering a unique and tailored approach to education in the region. These pathways are designed to recognise and nurture the individual strengths, interests, and aspirations of each student, ensuring that every learner has the opportunity to thrive.
One of the standout features of Kolbe Pathways is its flexibility, which allows students to choose a path that aligns with their future goals, whether they are academic, vocational, or a combination of both. This personalised approach along with a range of micro-credentials has been instrumental in the success of the program, making it a unique offering in the area that truly sets Kolbe Catholic College apart.
As we look to the future, we are particularly proud of our Future Ready Skills program, which is being implemented in the Senior School by our dedicated Future Pathways team. This program has already shown remarkable success, particularly in retaining students in Year 11 and 12 who might have otherwise left the College to pursue other educational options. The program is not only keeping students engaged but is also equipping them with the essential skills needed for life beyond secondary school.
To see the impact of our program we invite parents and students to watch this short video about Kolbe’s Future Ready Skills Program.
Sincerely, Peter Jones
