Xavier Day Celebrations

Liam Matthews (House Coordinator)

Xavier Day at Kolbe Catholic College was a resounding success as students and staff came together to honour the legacy of St. Francis Xavier and make a positive impact in our community. In preparation for the day, students had been bringing non-perishable items and toiletries to school to donate to local people in need.

The day started with a moving Mass, where we reflected on the commitment of St. Francis Xavier. Following the Mass, Kendall from The Crew Rockingham shed light on where our donations were headed. Xavier house managed to gather approximately $1500 worth of donations, which will provide essential food supplies for people in need.

The highlight of the morning was the delicious breakfast of bacon and pancakes, enjoyed by all. It was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to come together, share a meal, and strengthen bonds within our school community. The festivities continued with games on the school’s beautiful avenue, adding a touch of fun and camaraderie to the day’s events.

Reflecting on Xavier Day, Year 12 student leader, Bryce Becker, shared, “Xavier Day has always been a great day. But it also shows how important it is to give back and make a difference in our community.”
