The Year 10 River Cruise was hands down one of the best nights of the year. From the moment we stepped on board, there was an electric buzz in the air. The music was pumping, the lights were flashing, and the energy was contagious — everyone was ready to dance the night away.
It didn’t take long before the dance floor was packed. After an hour of non-stop dancing, we were more than ready for a break — and right on cue, 120 pizzas arrived to save the night. With everyone crowded around the boxes, it was pure chaos (in the best way). Once every slice had disappeared, the dance floor called us back for round two — this time with even more enthusiasm and, admittedly, a few questionable dance moves.
As the city lights shimmered across the Swan River, the DJ kept the hits coming. The boat was literally rocking from everyone jumping in time with the beat — even a few teachers couldn’t resist joining in. There was laughter, singing, and the occasional off-key karaoke moment that somehow made the night even better.
By the end, everyone was sweaty, tired, and grinning from ear to ear. The back deck slowly filled as people stepped outside for some much-needed fresh air, cooling off under the night sky. Nobody wanted it to end.
It was everything a perfect night should be — great music, great food, and the best people. The River Cruise wasn’t just another school event; it was a memory we’ll hold onto for years to come.
