From 16th to 18th March, our Year 7 students took part in an incredible camp experience at Woodman Point, filled with energy, challenge, and connection. As a key part of the Year 7 transition program, the camp focused on helping students build friendships, strengthen house spirit, and develop a strong sense of belonging within the Kolbe community.
Across the three days, students embraced a wide range of activities including the Amazing Race, surf lifesaving, vertical challenges, and multi-sport games. There was a real buzz as students worked together, encouraged one another, and took on new challenges with enthusiasm. It was fantastic to see students stepping outside their comfort zones and growing in confidence while supporting their teammates.
A highlight of the camp was the involvement of our Year 10 Peer Support Leaders on the second day. Their energy and leadership added another layer to the experience, and it was great to see positive connections forming across year levels as they joined in the activities.
Beyond the scheduled events, some of the most memorable moments came through shared experiences from house challenges and evening activities to simply spending time together. These moments helped build strong relationships and a genuine sense of community.
Overall, the camp was a vibrant and successful start to the Year 7 journey, leaving students feeling more connected, confident, and ready for the year ahead.
