Kolbe has commenced 2026 with remarkable success, highlighted by our students’ achievements at the Kwinana Industries Council Youth Art Awards.
Represented by our talented Visual Art, Design, Woodwork, Metalwork, Photography and Textiles students, Kolbe stole the spotlight at the opening night held at the Gary Holland Centre – taking home an impressive 7 awards.

We are also incredibly proud of Emmy, Caleb, Luke, and Olivia, who represented Kolbe with their outstanding works.
The Kwinana Industries Council Youth Art Awards, displayed finely crafted functional pieces to expressive artworks and innovative design solutions, the breadth of work on display reflected the strength of Kolbe’s Art and Technologies programs.
Specialist Success Stories
A special congratulations to Theane (Visual Arts Specialist, Class of 2025) and Niamh (Textiles Specialist, Class of 2025), whose success reflects the strength of Kolbe’s Year 12 Specialist Programs. These programs are self-driven, mentor-supported pathways that allow students to explore their passions in depth and prepare for future careers.
Niamh completed a specialised textiles program in 2025, focusing on developing a professional portfolio and refining her seamstress skills. Through her dedication and the support of the Specialist program, she has secured a place in WAAPA’s highly competitive Costume Design course – a long-held dream now realised.
These achievements are a testament to the passion, creativity, and dedication of our students and staff. What a fantastic way to begin the year – we can’t wait to see what else 2026 brings!
