There was no shortage of energy, grit, and Kolbe spirit as more than 100 of our athletes took to the track, field, and pit for the ACC Interschool B Division Athletics Carnival. Facing some of the toughest competition in the state, our students ran, threw, and jumped their hearts out — showing exactly what determination and teamwork look like.
It was a huge day of competition, and Kolbe held strong. Our girls’ team achieved an impressive 4th place finish, while the College placed 6th overall, securing our spot in B Division for another year. This result is a true reflection of the effort and commitment shown by every single competitor who proudly wore the Kolbe colours.
The carnival also brought some standout individual achievements. A massive congratulations goes to Martha and Xavier, who were crowned overall champions in their age groups. Brielle also shone, finishing as runner-up champion in hers. These results highlight the talent and dedication of our athletes, but also the countless hours of training and perseverance behind the scenes.
Of course, none of this would have been possible without the support and guidance of our incredible PE staff, who prepared and encouraged our athletes every step of the way. A special thank you also goes to our team captains, Matilda and Evie (Year 12), whose leadership and encouragement inspired our competitors throughout the day.
More than the medals and results, though, it was the Kolbe spirit that stood out most. From the first starter’s gun to the final relay, every athlete gave their best and cheered their teammates on. Together, they embodied pride, perseverance, and unity — values that go far beyond the scoreboard.
We now eagerly await the announcement of the ACC All Stars selections next week and once again congratulate our team on a truly outstanding performance. Well done, Kolbe!
