ACC Athletics Carnival

Melissa Dredge (Sports Coordinator)

A huge round of applause for the 95 talented students who made the journey to the WA Athletics Stadium last week to compete in the highly anticipated ACC B Division Carnival! The event was filled with electrifying performances, with many students achieving personal bests and securing top-3 finishes across various events.

A special congratulations to our Age Champions, who truly stood out with their exceptional athleticism. Their dedication and hard work were on full display, setting the bar high for future competitions.

Kolbe placed an impressive 5th overall, which is a fantastic achievement as we’ve been moving up the divisions over the past two years. The commitment and effort of our athletes have brought us closer to the top, and now the goal is clear: to solidify our place in the B Division and strive towards reaching A Division in the near future.

Reflecting on the challenging day, Year 10 student Zayde shared, “It was a hard day, but we persevered through the hot weather and hard challenges.” This resilience exemplifies the spirit of our Kolbe athletes, who continue to push boundaries and overcome obstacles with determination.

The event was a true celebration of teamwork and determination. Year 11 student Sabatini said it best: “The involvement of the students was inspirational, and I’m so proud to be part of this Kolbe team.” Sabatini’s words echo the pride we all feel for every student who competed and represented Kolbe with heart and passion.

A big thank you to all our athletes, staff, and supporters. The future of athletics at Kolbe is brighter than ever, and we can’t wait to see what our talented team will achieve next!
