On 11th September, the students of Teresa House came together to celebrate Teresa Day, honouring their House Patron, St Teresa of Calcutta. The day was a vibrant blend of faith, house bonding, and community service, showcasing the values that St Teresa embodied—compassion, selflessness, and dedication to helping others.
The day began with a whole House Mass, offering a moment of reflection on the life of Mother Teresa and her unwavering commitment to serving those in need. Following the Mass, the house congratulated GANDHI PC on winning the Inter-PC Cup and moved to have a breakfast of pancakes and bacon. The celebrations moved to the courts and avenue, where students participated in a series of spirited sporting activities, including volleyball, dodgeball, and basketball.
One of the most meaningful aspects of Teresa Day was the collection of goods for the Lucy Saw Centre, supporting women and families who have suffered from domestic violence. Students donated seven baskets filled with medicines, pantry staples, and household necessities.
“Teresa Day is a powerful reminder of the importance of service, community, and the impact that small acts of kindness can have on the world.”
