Throughout Term 3, Kolbe has actively participated in the Catholic Performing Arts Festival, engaging in a wide range of sections, including Christian Drama, Christian Dance, Secondary Dance, Secondary Drama, Choir, Big Band, Contemporary Band, and Musical. Our students have travelled extensively across Perth, performing in a variety of beautiful venues.
This term has been remarkable, not only for the numerous Outstanding and Excellent awards we received but also for the opportunity to connect with others who share our passions. A special highlight was our Dance Captain’s contribution where, for the first time, Saree choreographed half of our Dance Company pieces, creating both a Jazz and Lyrical troupe. Her group performed exceptionally well, earning an Outstanding award for their stunning piece.
Additionally, our Drama Captain Bethany deserves recognition for her work with the Kolbe Theatre Company. Her self-scripted piece was another standout, showcasing her talent as a Director and effective collaboration with the other drama students.
The Catholic Performing Arts Festival has been a celebration of Kolbe students stepping up and achieving excellence in numerous areas. A particular mention goes to our High School Musical, which also received an Outstanding award after impressing two judges who attended the performance.
Overall, Term 3 has been a testament to our students’ dedication and talent, highlighting their growth and success across various performing arts disciplines.
