This year, our Year 10 students had an exciting opportunity to participate in projects run by the Kwinana Industry Council, endorsed by the School Curriculum and Standards Authority. These programs aim to provide students with invaluable real-world insights and skills that go beyond the classroom, preparing them for bright futures in diverse industries.
On Wednesday, 21 August, we proudly celebrated the graduation of three of our outstanding students—Myles, Dean, and Fletcher—who successfully completed the iCareer Project. This project, the third of its kind this year, offered them a unique chance to explore the vast opportunities within the Kwinana Industrial Area.
Through site tours of various industries, our students gained firsthand knowledge of the range of career paths available in the region. They also had the chance to connect with current employees, learning directly from professionals in a variety of roles. This exposure was invaluable in helping them understand the dynamic world of work and the potential pathways they can pursue.
In addition to these industry visits, the iCareer Project provided a comprehensive series of workshops designed to equip students with essential skills for their future careers. From crafting resumes and building professional portfolios to honing interview techniques and focusing on personal well-being, the program covered all aspects of career preparation. Students also participated in volunteer projects and worked on goal setting, personal presentation, and developing a professional mindset.
We congratulate Myles, Dean, and Fletcher on their dedication and hard work throughout this program. Their commitment to their future careers is commendable, and we look forward to seeing where their journeys will take them next. Well done!
