On Monday of Week 9, students of the College gathered to celebrate the first Max It Monday, a student-led initiative inspired by our 2026 school theme, “A Million Ways to Max It.”
Organised by the Student Leadership Team, the day encouraged students to explore one of the most meaningful ways of “maxing it” by lifting others up through kindness, inclusion and connection.
Throughout recess, students participated in Musical Chairs and Ping Pong, creating an atmosphere where everyone was encouraged to participate, have fun and support each other. At lunchtime, students were invited to bring a shared lunch and gather on picnic blankets with friends, with another round of Musical Chairs providing an opportunity to connect with others and strengthen friendships around the College.
A highlight of the day was the Max It Kindness Wall, where students created cards filled with words of encouragement, appreciation, gratitude and positivity. These messages recognised the people around them and highlighted the impact that small acts of kindness can have on others.
While the theme “A Million Ways to Max It” recognises that everyone has their own unique way of succeeding and making a positive difference, Max It Monday focused on the importance of supporting those around us. The initiative helped build a sense of belonging and reminded students that one of the best ways to “max it” is by encouraging others to do the same.
