Year 11 Dinner Dance

Emma Stone – Head of Year 11

On Friday 11 September, our Year 11 students gathered at Birdie, Port Kennedy, for a wonderful evening of celebration, friendship and connection at the Year 11 Dinner Dance.

The evening was an opportunity for students to step away from the routines of school, get dressed up and enjoy a glamorous night with their peers. From the moment they arrived, the atmosphere was filled with excitement, with students dancing to all the classics, singing along and making memories together. As Ben reflected, “It was such a fun night, and it was great seeing everyone dressed up and enjoying themselves.”

Students enjoyed a delicious buffet meal, with plenty of opportunities to mingle and connect, rather than a formal sit-down dining experience. The Kolbe-inspired mocktails were also a highlight, including the creative ‘Kolberita’ and ‘Kolbe Kooler’. The evening even included a special sporting moment, with students and staff watching the Fremantle Dockers game together!

Mason shared, “The mocktails were definitely one of my favourite parts, and the photobooth was so much fun.”

The Birdie staff’s fantastic service helped make the evening a success, while the amazing photobooth and DJ added to the excitement and entertainment. We also extend our sincere thanks to the Chisholm House staff for their participation, supervision and support throughout the event.

“It was a really special night because we got to spend time together outside the classroom and strengthen our friendships,” said Noah.

The Year 11 Dinner Dance was a memorable celebration of community, connection and the friendships that make the Year 11 experience so meaningful.
